Issue 2 – October 10, 2019
For our second issue, we felt that it was only right that we highlight some of the amazing women that inspire us. From tech geniuses to tennis stars, we’ve created a list of inspirational women who are dominating in each of their fields. Each one is worth celebrating and learning more about, because in their own way, they’re actively breaking barriers and working hard to show the world the incredible power that women possess.
Rebecca & Martha are the San Francisco based duo behind Flodesk, a brand new email marketing platform that’s taking the internet by storm. If you own your own business, you’ve probably heard of Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or Klaviyo, but Flodesk approaches email marketing in a completely different (and refreshing) way. The emails are not only gorgeous, but the platform is beautiful and simple to use.
Somehow, they’ve managed to do this and more for just $38 a month. Because they’re totally awesome, their currently giving new clients their first month free. If you’re a creative, check out this female-owned company and up your email game!
Coco is a 15-year-old american tennis player from Delray Beach, Florida. She was the world No. 1 in the junior ranks before turning pro in 2018. After qualifying for a wildcard spot for the 2019 U.S. Open, she became an overnight sensation. She grew up pulling inspiration from Venus and Serena Williams, and eventually ended up defeating Venus, her “tennis idol”, in the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon games. Being one of the youngest to ever play at such a high level, she’s definitely one to watch with anticipation in the future.
Zendaya is the 23-year-old Oakland born actress that’s been seen in Disney and Marvel hits “Shake It Up”, “Spiderman: Homecoming”, and “Zapped”. Starting her career modeling for Macy’s and Old Navy at a very young age, she’s certainly not new to the entertainment industry. Over the years, she’s really started to make a name for herself, and come into her own. In spring 2019, she even landed a collaboration with fashion giant Tommy Hilfiger. She’s a great example of how to grow your brand and one of our favorite Girl Boss’s.
Madeline isn’t your textbook model. The beautiful 22 year old Australian is the very first professional model with Down Syndrome. She’s been featured in New York Fashion Week, London fashion week, Runway Dubai, Mercedes Benz fashion week, and much more. From the beginning, she’s had the odds put against her, but one by one she’s showing her strength, determination and passion for modeling. She is also a powerful voice to a community who are so rarely considered in the beauty industry. Her goal is to make the fashion industry more accepting of those with disabilities and the girls here at Zevorie Studio are 100 percent behind her.
