Maryanna- Stover-&-Co
Terri: Hey MaryAnna. I’m so happy to speak with you today.
Laura: Thanks for getting in touch with me! I’m so excited to work with you since we both focus on vibrant life, positivity and joy!!
Terri: That’s true, we do! I’m always happy to connect with like-minded people.

How long have you been working for yourself?

We started our business a little over a year ago.

What were you doing before you decided to work for yourself? And what made you make that decision?

I was in light depression and loneliness after a recent move, my husband’s tough job and pregnancy with my third child. I had pursued many of my dreams before such as being a seamstress and event planner; both of which I was good at but they just didn’t fit into my family life well. The liquid acrylic art and later jewelry was something that my three year old daughter enjoyed doing with me and fit better into our family. I also was wanting to learn how to run a business on a small endeavor before running a family ranch in the future a living.

Every company has a mission. So, what was your mission from the outset?

Besides what I already mentioned. As I became happier and healthier, enjoying my children and my life I wanted to pass on the things I learned and encourage and uplift other women and especially other mothers. Helping us all grow in whole person wellness and making our world a happier heather place.

What was the hardest thing about getting started and how did you overcome it?

Our business has been self supporting all except the initial investment. But building a business from scratch is not fast. Business has been pretty slow as we lay a solid foundation. Craft shows have been pretty good for our business but not for the family so we switched to being exclusively online and branching out into wholesale. So far we have three stores. But we need to keep growing to stay in business. Overcoming this is a daily keep moving onto the next step. Keep working. Just keep swimming.

What’s one thing that you love about your business?

I love that it has opened up my world to new learning and creativity. Having a project that I’m working on makes me feel like my life isn’t just a hamster wheel of duties.

Out of all of your products, which one is your absolute favorite and why?

I love our new necklace, Harmony from our new signature collection.

If you had one piece of advice to give aspiring business owners and entrepreneurs, what would it be?

Get a good business coach. The focus and direction has saved me so much time money back mistakes.

As you may know, Zevorie Studio is all about positivity and joy, so we have a few fun questions to ask you before we wrap up our interview today.

First, what is one thing that you do to bring a little happiness to your day?

I love to listen to encouraging and uplifting music all day long! And to remember to dress up a little everyday!

Where is one place that you would love to visit in the future?

Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to go to Italy and Japan. I have no idea why lol!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Even when I was little I loved parties. After I got married I threw an amazing party every month. I have planned weddings and banquets. After my children are all grown I would like to become a full time event planner.
